    As Andyb says the revs are limited to 2500 when not in gear. I've owned quite a few autos as Mrs Woodie has an auto only licence & this is the only vehicle that's had a rev limiter on it for neutral. Not sure why chrysler thought they had to put this on but they must have had some reasoning behind it.

    Hi Keith, I'm going to guess this is an automatic, in which case this is normal, the revs are limited when you're not in gear. Same on all of them (Not sure if this is common on auto boxes or not, these have been the only auto's I've ever owned).
